The Derry Parks & Recreation Department is hiring seasonal employees to support the department in continuing to offer services for the general public. WE NEED YOU! What jobs are currently available?
Office Administration: Responsible for entering registrations, beach passes, greeting patrons, answering phone calls, and other miscellaneous office duties. Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience preferred. Pay rate based on experience, starting pay: $17.5 per hour. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am- 4:00pm. Currently accepting applications!
Parks Seasonal Labors: Responsible for semiskilled and unskilled work in the care and upkeep of all Town parks and recreational areas. Must be at least 18 years of age. A valid driver’s license and previous experience is preferred. Pay rate based on experience, starting pay: $17.72 per hour - Currently FULL for Summer 2026
Building Monitors: Responsible for covering rentals and programming at various buildings. This position is for those interested in working evenings and weekends. Must be at least 18 years of age. Pay rate based on experience, starting pay: $17.72- Needed for year round rental opportunities Nothing consistent at this time
Activities Instructor: Responsible for running themed arts and crafts activities and park wide events at Don Ball Park. A calendar and supplies will be provided but we need someone that is artistic, imaginative, and enjoys working with children and the public. Must be at least 18 years of age. Pay rate based on experience, starting pay: $16.60- Currently FULL for Summer 2026
Facility Supervisors: Responsible for supervising the park and all of the seasonal employees on their respective shift. Must have basic knowledge in working with the public, running a cash register, and guiding new employees with a positive work environment. Must be at least 18 years of age. Pay rate base on experience, starting pay: $18.82- Currently FULL for Summer 2026
