Code Enforcement / Building

Mission:

To provide quality inspection, zoning and code enforcement services for the citizens and businesses of the Town of Derry.

Ms. Owen is the Code Enforcement Director/Building Inspector and Mr. Wentworth is the Assistant Building Inspector/Electrical Inspector. 

Permit Applications:

Please Note: All new residential houses, residential additions containing added sleeping rooms, and commercial permit applications MUST be submitted to the code enforcement office and with a separate plan review permit application submitted to the Derry Fire Prevention Bureau.

Scheduling inspections:

• 24-hour notice required: A minimum of 24 hour advance notice when requesting an inspection.
• Call to schedule: Inspections can be scheduled by calling the Code Enforcement/Building Department at (603) 432-6148.
• Inspections are typically scheduled next business day: While inspections are typically scheduled for the next business day, it's possible for scheduling to take a few days up to one week during busy periods.
• Plan ahead: To ensure you secure the date you need, especially during busy times, consider calling in advance to schedule your inspection
